The biggest news this year is that rising super-star, Lady Gaga, superseded Oprah Winfrey as the number one hot celebrity on Forbes magazine's annual list. Here are some facts about the latest top three most famous celebrities.
1. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is the most famous musician, singer and celebrity of this decade, but she's not just another cookie-cutter pop princess. She is a shrewed business woman who knows exactly how to influence her fans (called "Monsters") via Twitter, Facebook, and incite them to a frenzy in live performances.
Born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986, the New York native was a child prodigy with a passion for music. She learned to play the piano at age 4 and was composing ballads in her early teens. Lady Gaga graduated from the posh Manhattan high school, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Nicky and Paris Hilton's alma mater where she studied clasical piano and sang in the band.
After a few failures and writing songs for celebrities such as Brittany Spears, Lady Gaga made it big in 2008, when her album, The Fame, rocketed to the top of the charts. She continued with a growing list of mega-hits which have earned her five Grammy Awards.
